The table shows the parameters of the Venus flybys at the time of the s/c closest approach with Venus.

Venus columns: s/c parameters w.r.t. Venus. R: s/c radius vector (km); h: s/c altitude above Venus surface (km); V: s/c speed (km/s); DV: variation of the velocity vector before and after the flyby (km/s).

Sun columns: s/c parameters w.r.t. the Sun. DST: s/c distance from the center of the Sun (millions of kilometers); DV: variation of the s/c heliocentric speed before and after the flyby (km/s).

Lh: s/c heliocentric longitude (degrees).

Select the flyby:

The graph shows the geometry of the selected flyby in the Venus-centric mean ecliptic and equinox of J2000 reference frame.

Black dots: s/c position. The popup label shows the UTC time, the s/c radius vector (Dven, km), the s/c altitude above the surface of Venus (km), the s/c speed w.r.t. Venus (Vven, km/s) and the heliocentric s/c speed (Vh, km/s).
Purple line: Venus heliocentric velocity vector at the time of the s/c periapsis.
Yellow line: Sun direction at the time of the s/c periapsis.

The following graph show the radius vector (Rven), the altitude (h) and the orbital speed (Vven) of the spacecraft w.r.t. Venus. Also shown is the s/c heliocentric speed (Vh).
