Graphs and calculations are based on NAIF's data file updated with tracking data through 15-SEP-2023 13:46:59.
Select a maneuver:
DeltaV = m/s
Start = UTC
End = UTC
Duration= s
Select the graph:
Show s/c +Y axis (3D only)
The 3D graph update may take a few seconds.
The following graph shows the distance (logarithmic scale) and the relative speed between the capsule and the s/c after their separation.
The following graph shows the capsule altitude above the WGS-84 ellipsoid (logarithmic scale) and its inertial speed.
The map shows the OSIRIS-REx and the capsule paths across the Earth's surface.
The altitude (shown in km as "h= ..." when you hover the mouse over a point) is calculated above the WGS-84 ellipsoid.
The capsule label also shows "Vair" (m/s) that is the airspeed (almost meaningless above 300/400 km), assuming a corotating atmosphere.
The following graph shows the capsule airspeed and deceleration as a function of altitude above WGS-84 ellipsoid.
The graph shows the s/c (black dots), the capsule (red dots) and the Earth in the ECEF reference frame.
The blue-colored meridian is the Greenwich meridian (longitude equal to zero).
The popup label shows the UTC time, the object radius vector (R, km), the object altitude above the WGS-84 ellipsoid (h, km) and its inertial speed (V, m/s).
